Step 1. First of all, make sure that you are using the latest version of the WhatsApp, If not the Update your WhatsApp from Google Play Store.
Step 2. Now open you WhatsApp at their tap on three dotted icons (Menu) and then select settings option.
Step 3. Under the Settings, you will see the list of options at there tap on ‘Chats’.
Step 4. In chat Open, you will see the “Theme” option tap on it.
Step 5. When you tap on the theme you will see two themes which are light mode and dark mode. The light mode which is by selected default. Now select the Dark mode and tap on the OK button.
